Saina Nehwal wins maiden Super Series title
Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal clinched her maiden Super Series title on Sunday, winning the Indonesian edition after beating Chinese Lin Wang 12-21, 21-18, 21-9.
Overwhelmed by her win, Saina's father said it's a matter of pride for India. I have invested everything in her, he said while speaking to NDTV.
Earlier, sixth-seed Saina beat seventh-seed Lu 25-23, 21-19 to set up the title clash with third-seed Lin Wang.
In the first game, Saina and Lu battled tooth and nail and were on even keel, moving from 13-13, to 23-23 before the Hyderabadi sealed the game.

KCR resigns as party chief!
Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao resigned as Telangana Rashtra Samiti president here on Friday evening, saying he was hurt by the allegations made against him and his family by party rebels.
Party loyalists are trying to get him to withdraw his letter. Mr Rao had resigned in June 3 last year after a debacle in the byelections, but was persuaded by the party members to take back his resignation.
The party general secretary, Mr Madhusudhana Chary, announced the resignation at a hurriedly convened media conference at Telangana Bhavan on Friday evening. The general body will meet on Saturday to discuss the issue, he said.
Mr Chari and other loyalists like Mr Etala Rajender, Mr Nayani Narasimha Reddy, the ex-MLC, Mr Satyanarayana, and others have drummed up support for Mr Rao.
Asked if the resignation would be accepted, Mr Chari replied in the negative. “KCR has built the Telangana movement and victory and defeat in politics is normal. We don’t have to act on the demand of party rebels who enjoyed posts and quit after the party’s debacle,” Mr Chari said.

Dr.Mitra resigned from PRP at last
Much waiting news for media has come out today. One of the initial brain behind the formation of PRP, Dr. Mitra has resigned from Praja Rajyam today and expressed his commitment to maintain good relation with Chiranjeevi at his personal level.
He thanked Chiranjeevi for giving an opportunity to work in Praja Rajyam so far. Mitra is concerned about his role in the party as party is not involving him in any major decisions or issues.
Dr.Mitra is known for unique idealogy and strong believer of change. However Praja Rajyam failed to take up unique stand in andhra politics and witnessed a big defeat and it's future is in dilemma as party is losing it's leaders one by one.
