Jackson's fire accident footage surfaces
The never-seen-before footage of Michael Jackson's harrowing accident while shooting for a Pepsi commercial in 1984 has been made public.
American magazine 'Us' has obtained the video which shows how Jackson suffered second and third degree burns while shooting for the commercial in Los Angeles's Shrine Auditorium on January 27, 1984.
It is said that 'King of Pop' developed an addiction to pain killers and prescription drugs after the accident.
Jackson also developed an interest in plastic surgery while recovering from the accident, the magazine has claimed.
The clip shows the pyrotechnics exploding as planned after Jackson descended the stairs and began performing with his brothers and the star continued to perform the stunt.
However, things went horribly wrong with the sixth take as the firework erupted too early, igniting Jackson's head. The pop star unaware about the accident continued to dance for sometime.
Jackson had to depend on strong medicines to endure the pain and had multiple surgeries on his scalp to get a normal look, which ultimately kicked off his addiction towards plastic surgery.
